Now, don't let that bother you, as I am not going to try to sell you anything here. No fancy tricks, no hard sells. I am just going to share some good old common sense with you and let you see if it applies to your situation. There are a few things I know

| If you want to market on TV, you nave to be rich and you will throw away 98% of every last marketing dollar you spend on TV. | |

Remember the painting example above? That is how most of the big boys do their marketing. They dip their marketing brush into their paint can of ads, and just spray society with their message. What a mess. But they can afford it. You can't.
Remember the marriage proposal above? That is how many salespeople, telemarketers, and spammers do their marketing. They just go up to ANYONE with their marketing message, sounding desperate, and try to propose their marketing message on people. Unless you have a lot of time, money, and resources, be prepared for a LOT of rejection here.
Remember the seminar speaker above? No notes, not dressed for the occasion, and no credibility? This is how most marketing beginners do their marketing. They don't know what they are doing, have NO credibility, and just come over to talk with NO plan.
All three of these are examples of today's marketing technique called Interruption Marketing. Just approach people at random with a message and hope that they buy. Throw the paint against the wall and see what sticks.
There are LOTS of marketing studies that show that many people will not buy from a salesperson until the 7th or 8th contact by that salesperson. I know this to be true from my days as a school band director. New sales reps just had a hard time getting me to buy from them until we developed a RELATIONSHIP.

It is a LOT easier to build trust, and out of that a relationship of some kind, by just BEING THERE. Trust and relationships are MUCH easier to build when you are WITH the person PHYSICALLY.
Unfortunately, this is difficult to do on the internet. That is why it is HARDER to sell your product or service on the internet than it is in person. For the most part, there is no RELATIONSHIP that has been built.
Successful internet marketers know that you can't just put up a salesletter on the internet and expect people to buy from you. You HAVE to develop a relationship first with your client, and THEN it is easier to get them to purchase from you. And not just once, either. It is MUCH easier to get repeat customers from people that you have a RELATIONSHIP with.
Remember what I said earlier? Many people will not buy from a salesperson until the 7th or 8th contact. How do you do this on the internet? Well, unless you are rich and have all the proper software and equipment, spamming is not an option. It is not an ethical business practice in today's environment, anyway.
The best way that I have seen is to somehow persuade your website visitors to VOLUNTARILY give you their name and email address. THEN you can send them email with their permission as often as you want.
Sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it? Well, it CAN be, unless you automate the process.
You would NEVER see an athlete or a sports team go out and compete without a PLAN. Championship teams ALWAYS have a plan. Successful businesses should also ALWAYS have a plan. You need to pre-write a series of messages for your customers. These messages must be in a logical order, They must present the problem that your business solves, and they must introduce you and your business as the solution to their problem.
All of this should be done over the course of several days. NEVER try to sell something to a new client until you have established what the problem is, YOUR credibility as a business person, and THEN, after about 7-8 email contacts of doing this, THEN you can offer your product or service.
